INSURANCE AND CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
Wondering Well’s current fee schedule reflects the cost of services for self-pay, uninsured clients, and those using out-of-network benefits.
Wondering Well is currently in-network with Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna Behavioral Health/Evernorth, and United Behavioral Health and Oscar Health/Optum for eligible plans in Georgia. Wondering Well will also be in-network with Aetna for eligible plans in Georgia starting 10/30/26. Please check back in the next few months, as more insurance plans will be added.
Wondering Well is an out-of-network provider for all other insurance plans. Clients using out-of-network benefits pay upfront and then submit a claim for reimbursement. After meeting the deductible, out-of-network services are typically reimbursed at 50-80% of the session cost.
Wondering Well partners with Mentaya, a service that helps clients submit out-of-network claims and follows up directly with insurance companies. Wondering Well does not guarantee reimbursement through Mentaya and is not responsible for an insurer’s decision, processing time, or payment amount.
SLIDING FEE SCALE
Wondering Well offers a sliding fee scale to a limited number of uninsured clients based on household income and size. Sliding fee arrangements require prior approval and are subject to availability. The sliding fee scale does not apply to insurance copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, late cancellation or missed appointment fees, or court-ordered substance use assessments.
GOOD FAITH ESTIMATES AND NO SURPRISES ACT
Wondering Well provides a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges under the federal No Surprises Act when clients are uninsured or not using insurance to pay for services. The estimate does not guarantee the final amount. Charges may differ if the scope, frequency, duration, or nature of services changes, or if additional services become clinically appropriate or are requested.
